Every loss is different. Water category, elapsed time, construction type and materials all change the correct response, and none of that can be determined from a web page. Do not rely on this site in place of an on-site inspection with moisture readings.

Safety

Some steps described on this site — locating a shut-off valve, switching off a breaker, entering a space with standing water, accessing a roof or attic — carry real risk. Do not attempt anything you are not confident is safe. Never touch electrical equipment while standing in water, never enter a room with a sagging ceiling, never use a generator indoors, and never attempt to clean Category 3 contaminated water yourself. If in doubt, wait for a crew.

The cost ranges published on this site are industry figures provided to help you understand how restoration is priced and to let you evaluate any quote you receive. They are not an offer, a quotation or a guarantee of price. A binding estimate for your property is provided in writing after an inspection.

Insurance

We describe how water damage claims commonly work and we prepare documentation intended to support your claim. We are not your insurer, your broker or a public adjuster, and we cannot promise that any particular loss will be covered. Coverage is determined by your policy and your carrier. Always read your own policy and speak to your carrier or broker about your coverage.

Service requests and response times

Response-time targets published on this site — including our 60-minute target within Redwood City — are goals based on normal conditions and are not guarantees. During a significant storm we triage by severity and habitability and will tell you a realistic arrival window.
